Birth: She was born in Cairo. In 1970, he has been graduated from the Higher Institute of Arts, Criticism & Dramatic Literature Department; with a grade Very Good.
The Greatest Works:
She has decided to work with children after the Six – Day War in 1967. Since 1968 she has worked as a volunteer in the cultural activity through the civil society, and in 1972 she has chosen to work for the Childhood Cultural Center inside Mass Culture Palace. In 1977, she went to Hungary in a mission for studying Child Theatre as she wrote more than 50 literary books for children of all ages and directed several short dramatic and cinematic works. She also supervised and organized workshops and training courses for the workers in Child Literature, Narrative Art, Children’s Libraries and Child Theatre (Brides & Bishry) as well as many dramatic workshops for both handicapped and normal children. In 1979, she presented, in cooperation with the Childhood Studies Center, the first theatre for children in Egypt. Moreover, she has supervised many researches submitted to the National Centre for Culture Child.
She was the head of Child Culture Palace in 1978 – She was the chairman of Child Culture Department inside Mass Culture Palace in 1980 – She was the general manager of National Theatre for Children in 1983 – She became the first woman holding the position of general manager of Childhood Cultural Center in 1996 – She was the head of National Centre for Culture Child in 1998 – She became the first woman holding the post of head of the Artist House for Popular and Demonstrate Arts in 2005 – She was the first woman holding the post of Ministry of Culture ‘s First Deputy and head of the Cultural Production Sector in 2007.
Egyptian Prizes Awarded:
Mass Culture Palace Prize is awarded for a play (Akher Elaan’oud); a first prize is awarded by the Egyptian Council of Children Books for books (Blue Flower), ( Sultan Nabhan hides from Sondustan), (Sultan Nabhan demands charity), ( A Job for A Mother); a second prize is awarded for books (White Ballon) and ( Who Is A Thief); a certificate of appreciation is awarded by the Egyptian Council of Children Books for books (Home) Country and ( A Family Free of addiction); a second prize is awarded for being the best government publisher; she is also awarded a lot of prizes and certificates of appreciation for her works as a writer and publisher as well.
